Careers, Employability and Enterprise Programme

Introduction

At Reach school we understand that it is important to develop yourself through careers, employability and enterprise education. It is also vital that you learn about careers, the world of work and develop your career management and employability skills.

As well as offering each student a work related learning placement in career paths such as childcare, mechanics, horticulture, customer service, business admin and hairdressing we also want to support you with making decisions about your progression pathways and to investigate different careers. You will take part in different activities and events to help you with this from Year 9 through to Year 11 which might include a visit to a university or attending a presentation with an employer. You will have access to different online resources to help you with your decision making and to enable you to record your skills and experiences on your action plan. Birmingham Careers Service will support you to ensure that each of you are receiving independent careers advice.
