Up Front – Mental Health and Positive Wellbeing
As a result of an increase in mental health concerns amongst children and young people we have teamed up with The Kaleidoscope Plus Group to develop a positive well-being programme called ‘Up Front’.
The Albion Foundation uses the backdrop of football in an effort to normalise mental health issues amongst young people while providing them with self-help tools and, for some, professional support via sign posting which is important to many of our young people here at Reach.
The programme is differentiated for all abilities within Year 9 at Reach.
The sessions included in the programme are:
- Normalising mental health
- Stress and anxiety
- Sleep Hygiene
- Mindfulness and Relaxation
- Exam anxiety
- Anger management
- Risky Behaviour
- Friendship and communication
- Gratitude, joy and happiness
- Digital resilience
- Food and mood
- Self-esteem and self-confidence
